Can I Use WordPress to Develop a Check Website?

When it comes to website content, few things are more important than the quality of the copy. After all, your website exists to provide information to your audience, and if the content doesn’t flow well or is of low quality, then it will almost certainly frustrate your readers and damage your site’s reputation.

Thankfully, there’s an easy solution: use WordPress to write your content and use our free check website builder to turn it into a functional, attractive and secure (if that’s important to you) check website.

What is a Check Website?

A check website is simply a website that enables you to accept checks as payment. It is, in a nutshell, a way to provide your banking details to the public and enable people to make purchases online (e.g. Amazon) or by phone (e.g. Google Wallet) using their bank accounts.

Think of all the time you’ve spent entering your banking details dozens or even hundreds of times when making a purchase online or by phone: that’s what a check website is. So, as you might expect, the convenience is undeniable. You no longer need to remember countless passwords or keep typing in your banking details whenever you make a purchase.

Why Should I Use WordPress for My Content?

Besides the fact that Google loves content published on WordPress-powered sites and will rank them highly, there are a variety of other reasons why you might want to use this content management system (CMS) to create your website.

Here’s a short list:

  • It’s incredibly easy to use
  • It’s very flexible
  • You can use plugins to extend its functionality
  • It has a huge community
  • It’s proven to be the most popular CMS

How Does the Free Check Website Builder Work?

The free version of our website builder, which we’ll be demonstrating in this article, doesn’t come with all the features you might need for a serious project. That’s why we recommend upgrading to one of our paid plans, which provide you with the resources you need to get the job done. In any case, let’s take a look at how to build a free check website using our website builder.

As we’ve discussed, the biggest benefit to using a CMS like WordPress is that it saves you the effort of having to manually copy and paste content into a web page whenever you want to add something new. This is a huge burden for anyone, and something that quickly becomes tedious once you start dealing with more than a few pages of content. Luckily, our website builder makes this process much easier with its integrated WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editing interface. This is a feature that allows you to simply edit the text on the fly, as you go along.

Step One: Log In To Your WordPress Account

In order to use our website builder, you’ll first need to log in to your WordPress account. If you haven’t used WordPress before, this might seem like a daunting task since you have to set up an entire WordPress site from scratch (we’ll explain more about this in Step Two). Once you’re logged in, you’ll see your dashboard:

From here, you can access all the essential tools you need to build a website using WordPress, such as the WordPress CMS (Content Management System), a free version of our standard WYSIWYG HTML editor and a CSS file to style your site.

Step Two: Create A New Post

After you’ve logged in to your WordPress account, you’ll see a series of icons at the top of the dashboard. These are your posts, defined as anything you publish on your site that’s of general interest to your readers. When you click on one of these posts, you’ll be taken to the editing screen, where you can start developing your content.

From here, you can add a new section to the post by clicking on the small plus symbol in the column header. You’ll then see a menu with your options for a new section:

Click on Blog (this is the default section you’ll get when you create a new post) and then click on the blue Add New button. You’ll then see a blank area where you can input your content. Give the post a title and then begin typing your content (this can be a little daunting since you have to enter all the content in one go). When you’ve finished writing your content, click on the blue Save button to save your work.

Step Three: Customizing The Appearance Of Your Site

Once you’ve saved your content, you can go back to your dashboard and click on the Design tab. From here, you have a variety of options for the overall appearance of your site. Let’s take a quick look at what they are:

  • Heading (h1 – h6)
  • Body
  • Footer
  • Button styles
  • Colors
  • Images
  • Video (YouTube, Vimeo)
  • Audio (Spotify, Pandora)
  • Social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook)
  • Scripts (JavaScript)

One cool thing about our website builder is that it gives you the freedom to build a highly customized website that fits your needs and branding. However, if you don’t want to go overboard and design something too elaborate, you can always choose a ready-made design from our gallery or search for a unique pattern that suits your taste.

With our free website builder, the text is laid out so that you have full control over the formatting of your site. You don’t have to worry about any layout rules getting in the way of your creativity.

Step Four: Publishing Your Website

Once you’ve finished designing your site, you can click on the Preview button to see how it looks. Once you’re satisfied with the preview, click on the Publish button to publish your site.

Clicking on the Publish button will open up a preview of your site in a web browser. When you click on the Preview button, you’ll see your site’s dashboard. From here, you can track the status of your site, including submissions and comments:

If you’ve been writing regularly and have a healthy amount of content on your site, then it’s time to start thinking about making some money off your blog. One way to do this is to put ads on your site. There are many different ad providers you can choose from when you’re setting up your site, and this is completely free. Just remember: the more you make, the more you’ll earn.

At this point, we’d like to reiterate that our free website builder is perfectly functional and a great way to get your feet wet. It doesn’t come with all the features you might need for a serious project, so make sure you’ve got all the necessary tools before you start entering content. Still, if you’re looking for a simple solution that helps you get started, then this is the one for you.
