Step one: Download and install WordPress
The first step in creating a clone of another website is to download and install WordPress on a server that is accessible from your computer. This article will help you get started by showing you how to install WordPress easily on a server using a standard operating system – MAC or Linux.
To install WordPress, visit the official website and download the latest version for your operating system. For this tutorial, we will be using WordPress 4.0. Once downloaded, open the archive and extract the contents to a server named “wordpress” (without the quotes).
On a MAC, this would be a simple task – just double-click the WordPress installer to run it, and you’re good to go. For Linux users, it is recommended you use the command line to launch the setup process – type “sudo apt-get install wordpress” into a terminal window (search for “terminal” in your software center to access the command line).
After installing WordPress, you’ll need to launch the software and log in using an admin account. If you want to use a different username than the one you set up during installation, visit the “Users” menu under the “Admin” section of WordPress and click the “Username” option.
To set up a new administrator account, click the “Accounts” option under the “Admin” menu. You’ll then be presented with the option to create a new user account.

Configure WordPress to automatically update content
