How to Add Another Website on Your WordPress Site
You may have heard about the popular WordPress “monetisation” plugin, Affiliate Marketing Ninja. Created by Brian Clark, this plugin makes it easy for website owners to earn money online from other websites. So, if you’re looking to add another website to your WordPress site, consider using this plugin.
Create Another WordPress Account
With one account, you can have one website or blog for free. But to add another one, you’ll need to create a WordPress account. You can do this through the dashboard, by clicking on the “Get Started” button located in the top right-hand corner.
You’ll be taken to the WordPress login page. From here, you can create a new account or log in to your existing one. After you’ve logged in, click on the button that says “Create New Site.”
Configure the New Site
Once you’ve created the WordPress account, you can access the dashboard by clicking on the word “Dashboard” at the top of the screen. From here, you can see your active sites and blogs, as well as the settings for the newly created site. The active sites are the ones that you’ve visited and are listed at the top of the screen. Below the active sites, you’ll see your blogs. The new site is listed below the blogs. To get started, click on the button that says “Create New Site.”
This will bring you to the “Dashboard” screen of the WordPress dashboard. On this screen, you’ll see several options for the new site, including the name, description, and logo for the site.
Choose A Niche
One of the first things you’ll want to do once you’ve configured the new WordPress site is to choose a niche. This is the area of study, topic, or subject for your site. It can be something as specific as marketing or sales, or it can be a more general category like health or finance. Make sure to choose a niche that you’re passionate about. This will make it easier for you to engage with your audience and encourage them to return.
Decide On The URL
The next step is to decide on the URL (we’ll explain what this means in a minute) for the new site. If you’re following along, the URL for your new site will be http://yoursite.com. Once you’ve typed this in, click on the button that says “Publish.”
This will bring you to the “Publish” screen of the WordPress dashboard. On this screen, you’ll see the URL for the site, as well as the title and description for the site. The name of your site will be used for all of its links (more on this later). You can change the description if you want. You can also rearrange the order of the posts on this screen. Just click on the three dots next to the post you want to move and click “Move Up.”
Set Up The Blog
Once you’ve published the blog, you can set up the blog by clicking on the word “Blogs” at the top of the dashboard screen. From here, you can see all of your blogs, and you can add new ones by clicking on the button that says “Create New Blog.” The blogs are listed below the dashboard. You can change the theme for the blog and edit the layout using the built-in WordPress tools. The “settings” tab in the center of the screen will allow you to change the language and currency for your blog. When you’re finished editing, click on the “Publish” button near the top of the screen.
Add Photos & Videos
Adding images or videos to your WordPress site is very easy to do. Just click on the button that says “Add Media.” This will bring you to the “Add Media” window of the WordPress dashboard. Here, you can add photos from your phone or computer, or you can choose to add videos from YouTube or Vimeo. Make sure to add captions to your videos.
Curate Content For The Site
The last step in setting up your blog is to curate content for it. Just click on the button that says “Curate Content.” This will bring you to the “Curate Content” page of the WordPress dashboard. Here, you can add more content to the site by clicking on the “+” icon in the center of the page. Make sure you read the tips for creating content for your blog on WordPress.com. These will help you get started and grow your blog quickly.
Once you’ve finished adding content to your WordPress site, you can click on the “Publish” button to make your blog live. Congratulations! You’ve just launched your second blog.
