How to Add a Power Point Presentation to a WordPress Website

WordPress is the world’s #1 content management system and it’s free for everyone to use. Being a content management system, it hosts all sorts of content: blogs, articles, galleries, and more. With over 30 million downloads worldwide, it’s clear that many people are benefiting from this blogging platform. If you’re looking to add a power point presentation to your WordPress website, then this tutorial will help get you started.

The Importance Of Good Research

When creating content for a website, whether it’s a blog post, article, or a podcast, you’ll often need to source a certain number of topics to complete the piece. For a blog post, you might want to focus on how to choose the right engagement ring, where to go on a first date, or how to be the perfect girlfriend/boyfriend. As the author of this blog post, I needed to find concise and well-researched answers to these questions.

The trouble is, while everyone has access to the internet, not everyone is an expert in every subject. If you’re looking to create an informational website, then you’ll need to do some research to make sure you cover all the topics in a quality and authoritative manner. Otherwise, you might end up with incorrect or out-of-date information that doesn’t even look professional.

Power Point Is The Perfect Tool For Adding Presentations To Your Blog

Powerpoint is one of the most popular presentation tools globally and it’s available for free on the internet. Its name comes from its early days when it was a Microsoft Office presentation tool, but it has since evolved into a standalone software package that allows for some amazing freedom in creating presentations. It’s a very handy tool when it comes to creating content for a blog, whether you’re doing an educational blog or a more personal one.

There are two ways to add a power point presentation to your blog. The first is to create a presentation and then use one of the many online tools to upload it to your blog. The second is to use the power of the internet and the WordPress platform itself to find a power point presentation that suits your needs. Let’s take a look at how to do both.

Create A Presentation To Upload

The first step to adding a power point presentation to your blog is to create one. You can use any software you want to make a presentation, but I prefer using PowerPoint because it’s one of the most popular presentation tools out there. You’ll also need to pick a template that suits your blog’s theme. Since your blog is going to be educational in nature, I’d recommend using a school or university template for the presentation.

Once you’ve created a power point presentation, you can use one of the many online tools to upload it to your blog. I prefer using the free Google Slides because it’s one of the simplest and most user-friendly tools to do so. The great thing about using Google Slides is that it automatically creates a high-quality PDF copy of your presentation for you to download and use. Don’t worry, the video remains accessible for others to watch should they need it later on.

Find A Suitable Power Point Presentation

The second step is to find a suitable power point presentation that suits your needs. You have a variety of options here, from popular TED Talks to public domains like government websites, to blogs, and more. Simply enter your keywords in the search bar to get started.

You can also click the “Skip to main content” link at the top of the search results to be taken directly to the relevant content. This is a great option for those who want to get right to the point.

Adding Presentations To Your Blog With WordPress

You can also use WordPress to add a power point presentation to your blog. To do this, you’ll need to follow a few simple steps. The first step is to create a new post and then click the “Upload files” button at the top of the screen.

Next, you’ll need to select the “Attachment” button in the top-right corner of the screen to bring up a file selection dialog. Now, you can either choose a file from your computer or you can use the “Add Folder” button to find your power point presentation and then click the “Upload” button.

Once the file is uploaded, you can click the “Preview” button to see how the post will look when published.

Last but not least, you’ll need to click the “Publish” button to make the post go live.

In the example below, I’ve uploaded a power point presentation called “The Best Ways to Effectively Market Your Blog.” As the title suggests, this presentation is about marketing a blog. So, I’ll need to market my own blog, A Creative Nomad, to determine what works best for me as a blogger and content marketer.

Specifically, I’m interested in learning about digital marketing and how to effectively utilize marketing platforms like Google AdWords, Facebook ads, and more.

Creating an Informed Audience

When you’re marketing a blog, especially for commercial purposes, you’ll need to consider creating an informed audience. You can do this by sharing valuable information with your potential readers in the easiest and most convenient way possible: by creating a presentation that reflects your expertise in the field. Additionally, by providing educational information in an easily digestible and engaging manner, you can encourage your audience to seek further information should they have any questions about the topic at all.

If someone was looking for information on how to effectively market a blog, then they’d come to the right place. They might even decide to subscribe to my newsletter or follow me on social media to get more insight like this in their feed.

Hopefully, this post gave you some ideas on how to add value to your blog with some well-researched and authoritative content. To summarize, PowerPoint is a great tool for adding presentations to a blog because it’s very accessible and it lets you put your expertise into easily digestible and engaging material that appeals to your target audience.
