How to Change the Website Colors with WordPress
If you are looking for a way to change the colors of your website then you have come to the right place. In this article, we will teach you a simple way to use WordPress to accomplish this. All you need is some free time and some creative mind. Let’s get started.
Step 1: Install WordPress
To start off, you will need to install WordPress on your server. You can do this using the WordPress command line interface (CLI). You can use a tool like Git to easily and safely clone the WordPress repository on your computer.
Once you have installed WordPress you will need to configure the software to work with your hosting service. You can do this using the WordPress dashboard. Once you are done you can continue to the next step.
Step 2: Login to WordPress Dashboard
You can access the WordPress dashboard by going to yourdomain.com/wp-admin/. Once you are on the dashboard you will see a login form and a button labeled “Create New Account”.
To create a new WordPress user you must login with the email address associated with your hosting account. Once you login you will see the WordPress dashboard. You can click on the “Users” link at the top of the dashboard navigation bar to access the users area of the dashboard.
You can click on the “+” icon in the upper right portion of the dashboard to create a new user or team. A screen will pop up where you can enter the user’s information.
You should use a strong password to protect your account. Once you create the new user you can click on the “Users” link in the upper right portion of the dashboard to access the user’s area of the dashboard.
Step 3: Visit the Appearance Settings Page
The appearance settings page is where you can change the colors and styles of your website. To access the settings page you must goto yourdomain.com/wp-admin/appearance/.
You will see a screen asking you to choose a color scheme. You can choose from a variety of different colors to match the mood or vibe of your website.
You can also choose from different style options for the appearance of your site. You can choose a boxed style for your main content or a left aligned style for your sidebar.
Once you have made your selection you can click on the “Save” button at the bottom of the page to finalize your selection.
Step 4: Changing Website Colors
To change the colors of your site you must click on the “Colors” tab in the main navigation bar at the top of the page.
You will see a screen with five different color options. You can click on the “+” icon at the top of the page to access the drop down menu. You can then choose the color you want for your site.
You can test out the different color schemes by browsing through WordPress’ built-in demo content or by using an online tool like Colorful. In addition to the built-in content, you can use the search bar at the top of the page to find any content that’s already been uploaded to your site.
You can also click on the “Save” button at the bottom of the page to save your selection.
That’s it!
You now have everything you need to change the colors of your website. To test out the different colors you can simply logout of the WordPress dashboard and then log back in again.
You should change the “Header Colors” option to the color you want used for your site’s header.
You can then change the “Post Colors” option to the colors you want used for your site’s content.
If you want, you can even change the “Text Color” option to fit your branding colors.
You can leave the two remaining options unchanged and they will act as a default if you don’t change them.
When you logout of the WordPress dashboard you will see the colors you chose for your site. Congratulations! You completed the task of changing the colors of your site.
WordPress gives you full control over the colors of your site. This means that you can make any change you want and there’s no limit to how many colors you can use. If you feel like changing the color scheme of your site later on, you can easily do so by logging into the WordPress dashboard again.
