How to Create a Website Using WordPress Step by Step Video?

Do you want to create a website to share your ideas with the world, or to generate extra income online? If so, you’ve come to the right place. Let me teach you the steps to create a professional looking website using WordPress.

Step 1. Choose A Hosting Service

You’ll need a place to put your website. Without a host, your site won’t be accessible to anyone else. Fortunately, there are several affordable web hosting services out there, so finding one shouldn’t be difficult. When selecting a hosting service, make sure to look for a reliable company with a support team that is available 24/7. This way, if you ever have any questions or need some assistance, you’ll be able to contact someone right away.

Step 2. Install WordPress To The Root Folder

The first thing you’ll need to do to start building your website is to install WordPress to the root folder of your computer. You can download WordPress directly from the official site, https://wordpress.com/. When installing WordPress, make sure to follow the instructions carefully, as doing so will ensure that you don’t end up with a broken website. After installing WordPress to the root folder, you’ll need to logout and log back in. This will ensure that WordPress connects to your account and you can start using it to create your website.

Step 3. Create A Username And Password

You’ll need to have a username and password to log into WordPress. To create a username, click on the Account menu in the upper right corner of the WordPress dashboard. From there, you’ll see a field to type in a username. In order to create a username that is memorable and easy to type, use a word that begins with a vowel and has three or more letters in it (e.g., MyLovelyWeb, PrincessPrincesse, or Awesome_Admin).

Once you’ve created a username, you can set up a password and lock it. To do this, click on the Users menu in the upper right corner of the WordPress dashboard. Here you’ll see all of the users that you’ve created. To set a password, click on the Profile of the user you wish to change, and then click on the Change Password button. From here you can choose a new password and then confirm it by entering it again. Once you’ve confirmed the new password, click on the Save button to save the changes.

Step 4. Build A Homepage With Two Columns

Having a home page is important. This is the first page that visitors will see when they visit your website. To create a home page with two columns, click on the Home tab found at the top of the WordPress dashboard. Here you can set the theme (look and feel) of your website. You can choose from dozens of free themes or hire a designer to create a unique look for your site. Once you’ve chosen a theme, you can start building your home page by adding content.

To add content to your home page, click on the Add Content button located at the top of the WordPress dashboard. Here you can add articles, blog posts, product reviews, FAQs, etc.

When creating an article, you first need to choose an article type:

  • Blogs: To create a blog post, navigate to the Blogs section of the WordPress dashboard.
  • Forums: To create a forum post, navigate to the Forums section of the WordPress dashboard.
  • Product Reviews: To create a product review, navigate to the Product Reviews section of the WordPress dashboard.
  • FAQs: To create a FAQs, navigate to the FAQs section of the WordPress dashboard.
  • Steps: To create a step-by-step tutorial, navigate to the Steps section of the WordPress dashboard.
  • Shortcodes: To create a shortcode, navigate to the Shortcodes section of the WordPress dashboard.
  • Sitemap: To create a sitemap, navigate to the Sitemap section of the WordPress dashboard.
  • Images: To add images to your content, navigate to the Images section of the WordPress dashboard.
  • Videos: To add videos to your content, navigate to the Videos section of the WordPress dashboard.
  • Docs: To add documents to your content, navigate to the Docs section of the WordPress dashboard.
  • Social Media: To add social media buttons to your content, navigate to the Social Media section of the WordPress dashboard.
  • Category Hierarchy: To create a hierarchical category structure, navigate to the Categories section of the WordPress dashboard.
  • Tags: To create a search-friendly blog post, navigate to the Tags section of the WordPress dashboard. Here you can click on the Add Tag button to add existing tags or type in a new tag. You can then click on the Save button to save the changes.

Once you’ve built a home page with two columns, you can start adding more content to your website by creating pages. You can create these pages by clicking on the Add New button located at the top of the WordPress dashboard. Here you can choose from several pre-made pages, or you can choose to use one of the many free blogging templates that WordPress offers. You can then start adding content to your pages by using the Add New button again. Your homepage, blog posts, product reviews, and forums will then be displayed on these pages.
