How to Fetch Data from Other Website in WordPress?

Let’s say you have a WordPress blog and you want to integrate data from other websites. How can you do that?

The answer is to use the Free WordPress.com weblog service to connect with other sites. You can do this by installing the WordPress.com plugin called Connect with WordPress.com. Once installed, you’ll see a “+” icon (the WordPress “hamburger” icon) next to the URL of each blog you visit. When you hover over it with your mouse, you’ll see a small popup with the blog’s name, date and number of visits. You can then click this icon to connect with the blog.

Now that you’re connected, you can click the “View all blogs” button under “Quick Links” in the admin bar to see a list of your connected blogs. You can then click any of the blogs’ titles to view their content in a new browser tab. You can click the “X” in the upper right corner of each tab to close it.

This process is called blog linking (or blog sharing) and it’s a great way to bring in outside content without leaving your own site. As you can see from the image above, you can even create links between your blogs in the WordPress.com dashboard.

The Two Types of Blog Linking

There are two different types of blog linking. The first type is content linking, which you’ll want to avoid if you’re looking to maintain control over your own content. With content linking, you’ll see a line of icons beneath the title of each blog post. To go back to the example above, you can see that the two blogs linked together have the same content but they were linked together using content linking. This means that a reader can click on the link in the other blog’s title to go to that content on your site.

Content linking is great for readers but you don’t want to use it if you’re looking for search engine optimization (SEO). The second type of linking you’ll want to avoid is the so-called passive affiliate linking used by many online merchants to create web ring links. When you have these types of links on your site, you’re just giving the search engines another place to index and rank your content. You don’t want to do that.

Benefits of Blog Linking

Blog linking has many benefits, some of which include the ability to bring in more readers and make more money from your site. When you have a few linked blogs, it can even become a source of passive income. If you’re looking for ways to make money from a blog, blog linking is a great option.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that you shouldn’t expect to see large returns right away. It can take months, even years, for the full effect of blog linking to be visible in your search engine rankings and traffic. But during that time, you’ll start to notice an increase in your income and your readership.

Where Can I Link My Blog?

The first step in linking your blog is to visit WordPress.com and create a free account if you don’t already have one. Once you have a free account, you can install the WordPress.com plugin called Connect with WordPress.com. Once installed, you’ll see the “+” icon (the WordPress “hamburger” icon) next to the URL of each blog you visit.

You can then click this icon to connect with the blog. When you’re connected, you can click the “View all blogs” button under “Quick Links” in the admin bar to see a list of your connected blogs. You can then click any of the blogs’ titles to view their content in a new browser tab.
