How to Make a WordPress Website Background Change Colors With Keyword
A website background, also known as a splash screen, is a simple but effective way to draw attention to your website and make people want to read what you have to say. A background can be a memorable and engaging way to display the content on your site. When placed behind the scenes, a background can add that little extra touch of artistry and personality that makes a design stand out from the crowd.
In this guide, we will discuss how to make a WordPress website background change colors with keyword so that it can be more easily found on search engines like Google. We will use the free WPSPLYT theme from StudioPress as our example. You will need to replace the text in the code with your own keywords. You can always find the code for our example at the end of this article.
Create A Conceptual And Functional Design
The first step in creating a memorable background is to come up with a cool and unique name for it. If you are using a free theme from StudioPress, make sure to get the background image for your site. Once you have downloaded the theme, you can replace the default background image with your own. You can do this by going to Appearance in your dashboard and then switching to the Theme Options button beneath it. Once you are in the theme options dashboard, you can click on Change Background Image and choose an image from your computer or upload one from the web.
The next step is to make it functional. You can start by hiding the background image on certain pages. You can either use CSS or the No Theme Option value in the body tag of your pages. You can then use CSS to change the background color of your page contents and text. Finally, you can add some padding or a border to give it a polished look. In our example, we will set the background color to white and add a 1px solid black border to make it pop.
Change The Iconography And Add Some Personality
For a functional website, you should strive to keep the same general layout as the default theme but with a few tweaks here and there to make it your own. In our example, we will replace the default logo and add a couple of social media icons to give it a little more personality.
Once you have done that, take a quick trip to Dashboard and open the Appearance tab. Within the Themes Options section on the right, you can find an area that says Custom HTML. We will add some background-color change hooks that will allow us to change the colors of our background whenever we want. Add the following code to the HTML Options area and save the file:

Set Up The Server Environment
The final step in making a background work is to set up the server environment. In our example, we will use the WPSPLYT theme from StudioPress but you can use any free WordPress theme to make this guide work for you. You will need to do this in advance so when you upload the finished product to the web, it will already be there.
If you have never done this on your own or if it’s been a while since you did this type of work, take the time to learn how to set up a WordPress environment. You can find help and step-by-step instructions on Google and can come back to this article any time you’re confused.
To start, visit http://localhost/wordpress/ in your browser. You should see the default WordPress screen with a big Install Now button. Click on that button to continue.
Once You Have Installed WordPress, Create A New Blog
WordPress will now ask you to create a new blog. There are a few things you should know before doing this. The first step is to make sure you have a domain name for your site. Having a cool name for your site is great but if you can’t clearly communicate this to the outside world, you can’t expect people to find you when they search for your keywords. Domain names are not something expensive to purchase, many registrars will sell you a.com domain for less than $10 a year. In our example, we will use wordpress.com but you can use any.com domain you want.
Upload Your Website Background
After you have a domain name for your site, you can upload your website background to your server. In our example, we will use the free WPSPLYT theme from StudioPress but you can use any WordPress theme. You will need to log in to your account on WordPress and from the Themes section on the left, click Download to select your theme. Once you have selected it, click on Install Now to continue.
Your new WordPress install will now start downloading. This process can take a while so you may need to visit the site again to check on its progress.
When the installation is complete, you can click on Menu in the upper left corner of your dashboard to access the site’s primary menu. From here, you can About, Services, FAQ, Contact Us or Sign Up, depending on what you want to do on your site. Clicking on Contact Us will take you to a form where you can enter your email address and send a message to us. For now, just Sign Up to continue to the next step.
Activate The Option To Change The Background
Once you have a functioning WordPress site with a background you like, you can take the time to activate the option to change the background color and style. The process is the same but instead of choosing an image for your background, you will want to use a color and style to give it that unique look you came up with. In our example, we will use the Dark color scheme along with a white background.
Set Up Keywords And Phrases For SEO
As we mentioned above, having a unique name for your site is vital for SEO. One other thing you can do to help Google find your site is to set up keywords and phrases for SEO. To do this, we will use the [ ] site explorer tool from Google.com. Just type your website name in the box that appears and the tool will give you a list of keywords and phrases that can be used to improve your site’s SEO. In our example, we will use the keywords blog post, wordpress tutorial, make a wordpress website, and change the background color of a wordpress website.
