How to Modify a WordPress Website Using cPanel

You want to change the design of your WordPress website, but don’t know how? Don’t worry—we’re here to help. In this article, we will discuss how to modify a WordPress website using cPanel, the hosting platform that we recommend to newbie website owners. We will cover the following topics:

Step 1: Register For cPanel

Before you begin making any changes to your website, you must register for cPanel.com. When registering, you will have to provide a username, a password, and a valid email address. You will then be able to install the WordPress dashboard, which we will use to modify your site.

To view your existing hosting packages or to register for cPanel, visit this page.

Step 2: Install WordPress To The Dashboard

Once you have registered for cPanel, you will be able to access the WordPress dashboard. From the dashboard, you can install WordPress to your site. To do this, click the Install WordPress button in the upper-right corner of the dashboard.

You will then be prompted to enter the name of your new site and a brief description. Once you have entered this information, click the Install WordPress button to continue.

A confirmation message will then appear, notifying you that WordPress has been successfully installed to your site. You can now log in to the WordPress dashboard and begin making changes to your site.

If you are already logged in to the WordPress dashboard, you can navigate to the Appearance page and begin making changes to the design of your site.

Step 3: Activate Theme Customizations

When you first log in to your WordPress dashboard, you will see a default theme. This is called ‘TwentyFourteen’ and is one of the most popular and robust themes out there. You can use this theme with your existing site because it is already set up with the options you need. However, if you want to make your site look different, you will have to activate theme customizations. To do this, click the customize button in the upper-right corner of the dashboard. This will open up a new screen where you can select from a variety of themes.

Once you have selected a theme, click the Activate button to continue. This will make the selected theme active and will enable you to make changes to the design of your site. You can now begin modifying your site to look however you want.

You can also use this screen to change the background image for your site and to modify the color of the text on your site. You can use HTML code to change the text color on your site. For example, if you want your heading text to be green and your body text to be red, you would type

Hi

in the heading section and

Hi there!

in the body section.

You can use this option to make your site look more professional if you are a business owner looking to generate more leads or customers. If you are building a portfolio of websites, you can use this option to make each website appear individual.

Step 4: Manage Users, Passwords And Security

At this point, you should have completed installing WordPress to the dashboard. You can now click the Settings link in the upper-right corner of the dashboard to open up the Settings screen for your site.

You will see a screen where you can manage users, passwords, and security for your site. You can use this option to modify the design of your site and to install plugins to the dashboard, which we will cover in the next step.

Step 5: Install Plugins To The Dashboard

To make your WordPress dashboard more functional, you can install plugins. A plugin is a piece of code that enables you to perform certain tasks that are not native to the WordPress platform. Some of the most popular plugins for WordPress are:.

  • All-in-One SEO & Metrics Bundle
  • Attractio
  • Content Curation
  • Contact Form 7
  • Google Analytics
  • Jetpack
  • Lock Screen Widget
  • Neato
  • PressThis
  • Redirection Plugin
  • Shopping Carts

As the previous screenshot shows, you can install any of these plugins to the dashboard to make your site more functional. When you do this, you will have to verify that you possess a valid license key for the selected plugin. To do this, click the Get license key button and a zip file will then be downloaded to your computer. You can then enter the downloaded zip code in the ‘Activate’ field, followed by clicking the Activate button.

If you are new to WordPress or if you just want to make some small changes to your site, you can use the Free option on cPanel. This allows you to have one site free for the entire year. You will not have to pay a dime to have this site up and running. Plus, you will not be required to upgrade to a premium plan in the near future. If you are interested in signing up for this option, you can click here to go to the cPanel website.

The previous steps will help you modify the appearance of your site. However, if you are looking to make your site more functional, you can also use this option to install WordPress-specific plugins to the dashboard. Some of the most popular and robust plugins for WordPress are:

  • AJAX Search

To do this, navigate to the dashboard and click the Appearances button. This will open up a new screen where you can view all the themes and plugins you installed to the site.

If everything is configured correctly, your site should now look the way you want it to. You can now save your settings and continue making changes to the appearance of your site.

WordPress Is A Popular Platform For Bloggers And Designers

WordPress is one of the most popular blogging platforms out there due to its ease of use and the huge amount of third-party support it offers. If you are looking to create a blog, you can use WordPress to do this. If you are looking for a content-management system (CMS), you can use WordPress as well. WordPress also has a huge marketplace of third-party extensions and themes, which enables anyone to create a unique design for their site.
