How to Order Products from Shopify and Have Them Automatically Added to Your WordPress Website

One of the significant challenges of owning a physical storefront is keeping track of online ordering. Whether you’re selling your own products or providing a service, there’s always the possibility you’ll end up with an order that can’t be fulfilled by the physical location itself. This is why so many businesses have turned to online marketplaces for their product needs. While there are many benefits to online marketplaces like Shopify, one of the biggest is the ability to seamlessly integrate an online store with your WordPress website. We’re going to walk you through the process of setting up an online store within Shopify, and having orders automatically added to your WordPress store upon checkout.

Setting Up Your Online Store In Shopify

The first step to integrating an online store with your WordPress website is setting up your Shopify account. If you’ve already got an existing Shopify account, you can use that to log into WordPress. If not, you can use the free trial to create a Shopify account. Once you’re logged into WordPress, click on the Shop tab located at the top of your screen. From there, you can add a product or service to your cart. Once you’ve added all the products you want to sell to your cart, click on checkout.

As you might expect, this will take you to the Shopify checkout page. You can review your order details, as well as enter your credit card information if you’ve opted to pay via credit card. Once you’ve entered the information and confirmed the order, you’ll be brought back to the shopping cart. At this point, you can hit the back button to go back to the WordPress dashboard, or click on the orange button located at the top of the page that says “Continue to Shopify Store”.

If you go back to your WordPress dashboard, you’ll see an empty table with the heading “Shopify”. You can now start adding products from Shopify to your dashboard. Make sure you add the appropriate product templates for WordPress. For example, if you sell clothing, you might want to look into adding a product template for dresses or a product template for wear.

Adding Products From Shopify To Your WordPress Dashboard

To add a product from Shopify to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to your WordPress dashboard and click on the “Shopify” icon. This will bring you to the “Shopify Store” section of WordPress.

Once you’re in the “Shopify Store” section of WordPress, you can click on the “+ Create New” button located at the top of the page. This will bring you to the WooCommerce popup. You can click on the button that contains the configuration gear to continue setting up your new store.

WooCommerce is a popular and free WordPress eCommerce plugin that makes adding an online store to your website very easy. All you need to do is enter a store name, slogan, and website URL. You can choose whether to display products or services on your website. Depending on how many products you want to sell, you can set the minimum order amount to $10, $25, or $100.

Once you’ve entered all the information and confirmed the order, you’ll be brought back to the WooCommerce dashboard. At this point, you can click on the orange “Continue to Shopify Store” button to return to the WordPress dashboard or the green “Confirm” button to continue to Shopify.

Configuring Your Online Store In Shopify

To continue configuring your Shopify store, click on the gear icon on the right side of the page that says “Shopify”. This will bring you to the Shopify administration area where you can make changes to the configuration of your store.

From the settings page, you can configure many aspects of your online store including the name, logo, and slogan for your store. You can also choose to show or hide the product categories and sub-categories from your store’s homepage. You can use the configuration page to add products to your store, change the order or show dates of the products you’ve added, or remove products you’ve added. To add a product, search for it in the search bar and click on the “Add to Shopify” button. You can choose whether to display products with or without the use of images. Upload a product image to go along with the description you provide.

Integrating Your Online Store Into WordPress

Once you’ve finished configuring your Shopify store, you can return to the WordPress dashboard and click on the orange button that says “Continue to Shopify Store” to continue to the store’s configuration area. Here, you can choose what sort of content to display at the center of the page. Depending on your niche, you might want to center content around specific topics such as fitness, food, or finance. When you put content in this area, it will be displayed at the top of each page when that topic is accessed via a link or a search.

Adding Products From Shopify To Your WordPress Blog

To add a product from Shopify to your WordPress blog, navigate to your WordPress dashboard and click on the “Shopify” icon. This will bring you to the “Shopify Store” section of WordPress. Once you’re in the “Shopify Store” section of WordPress, you can click on the “+ Create New” button located at the top of the page to add products.

To add a product from Shopify to your WordPress blog, you’ll need to log into your Shopify account and add a product template to your WordPress website. You can find the product template for your favorite store by going to the “My Stores” page of your Shopify account and clicking on the “Name” of the store you want to use. When you’ve found the product template you want to use, click on the “Use this template” button.

After you’ve clicked on the “Use this template” button, you’ll be brought to a page that lists all the products available in the store you selected. From there, you can either continue shopping for products or add those products to your cart. When you’ve added all the products you want to sell to your cart, click on the orange button that says “Continue to Shopify Store” located at the top of your screen to continue to the checkout process.
