How to Remove Blog Links from Your Website Menus in WordPress
Many times, when creating a new WordPress website, especially if it is for business, we may want to include some blog posts in the menus at the top of the page. To do this, we can go to our site’s dashboard and then click on the “Settings” icon in the top right-hand corner. From here, we can select the menu options as shown in the image below.
As you can see, there are three options here. First, we have the “Blog Links” option. Second, we have the “Static Front Page” option. And finally, we have the “Random Article” option. If we select the “Blog Links” option, we will see a list of our existing blog posts as menu options. These are the posts that will show up in the sub-menu below the main menu. Selecting the second option, “Static Front Page,” will make the first post the homepage of our website. And the last option, “Random Article,” will display a post from the archive, with no correlation to any other post on the website.
Why Should You Avoid Blogging As A Means Of Marketing?
Firstly, having a public forum available on the web for free is a great way to gain credibility with potential customers. It can also be an effective tool in engaging with existing customers. But that’s not all. We should all be mindful of how much time we spend online, and how our digital footprints can be tracked. This is why, for the majority of my clients, I advise against having a blog on their website. While there are benefits to blogging, such as SEO, email marketing, and content creation, we should not be solely focused on increasing blog traffic. Rather, we should be using organic search combined with other marketing methods.
But What About Affiliate Marketing?
If you’re new to internet marketing or are looking to increase your revenue, then affiliate marketing could be the right choice for you. When you sign up to become an affiliate marketer with a company like ClickBank, you will be given a special link that can be used to promote products that they deem suitable for your niche. When someone clicks on that link and purchases a product that you have promoted, you will earn a commission.
But just remember that this is a double-edged sword. Just because someone purchased a product that you promoted, it does not mean that they are going to become a customer or even know who you are, let alone visit your website. When choosing affiliate marketing as a means of generating revenue, you need to look beyond just selling a product and consider the value you can bring to a customer. The more you know, the more you can offer, the more you’ll earn.
How To Establish Blog Content As Authority In Your Industry
If you’re looking to build a successful online business, you need to make sure that you establish yourself as an expert in your industry. One of the best ways to do this, as I’ve mentioned, is to create and publish high-quality content regularly. But you also need to make sure that your content is widely available for free on the internet. The only way to ensure this, is to establish your blog as the go-to source for your industry. This way, when a potential customer searches for information about your industry, they will naturally come to your blog if it matches their needs best. Additionally, as you establish yourself as the expert in your industry, you can also promote yourself as the best in your industry at helping others. In doing so, you not only build credibility, but you also establish yourself as the person to go to for help when they are facing problems in your industry.
How To Establish Yourself As An Authoritative Source Of Information In Your Industry
As I mentioned above, to make money online, you need to be an authoritative source of information on your chosen topic. This means that you should possess some degree of expertise on the matter. For instance, if you are writing about dog grooming, you should know a lot about dogs and their grooming. Of course, you don’t need to have dog grooming as your expertise; you can write about whatever topic you want, as long as you’re an expert in some way. And when people come across your content while researching their topic, they will naturally assume that you are an authoritative source of information on your topic, simply because you wrote the content. This will then lead them to trust you with their own problems or questions, regarding your topic. Therefore, if you want to be seen as an authoritative source of information in your industry, make sure that you regularly publish high-quality content on your blog or website. Additionally, make sure that you link to other authoritative sources of information, as well as well-known experts or thought leaders in your industry. Doing this will then associate your blog or website with these authoritative sources, and give you the credibility that you need to become an expert in your industry.
