Sample WordPress Jewelry Website
I hope everyone had an excellent Christmas and New Years! 2019 was an exceptionally special year for me as I was fortunate enough to marry the man of my dreams. Our story is one that not a lot of people would have the courage to face, let alone a happily ever after! Our wedding was blessed with brilliant sunshine, gorgeous dresses, and an abundance of love.
My advice to any couple looking to wed: Just do it! And if that isn’t the advice you want to hear, then my answer is: It doesn’t really matter what you want to hear, as long as you hear the right thing.
Having said that, I want to share with you the wonderful template I used to create my own wedding website. The template is called WordPress Jewelry and it can be found & used free of charge at https://wordpress.com. You’ll need to register for an account (it’s free) and then you can download the template directly from WordPress. Once you’ve done that, all you need to do is customize it with your own details and photos. It’s that easy.

The Benefits Of Using A Wedding Website
I can’t begin to list the benefits of having a wedding website. It’s always nice to have a digital record of your big day (especially if it’s a wedding you’ll want to reference in the future). Plus, having a wedding website means you have a place to host all your favorite photos, videos, and other media associated with your special day. A wedding website can also be a great tool for guests to locate specific details about the big day such as the entrance music, menu, and more.
If you’ve never been able to keep track of all the details surrounding your wedding, then a wedding website is a great place to start. It’ll be easy to update with details as they happen throughout the course of your planning process.
What Type Of Content Should I Include On My Wedding Website?
Like I mentioned above, your wedding website doesn’t necessarily need to include a lot of content to be effective. The important thing is that you include the content that is most relevant to your ideal audience. If you’re looking for some inspiration, then you can check out my blog post (https://robinweddings.com/blog) which has tons of information on wedding planning and DIYing.
Your wedding website is going to be most effective if it contains the following type of content:
- A blog post with helpful information on wedding planning
- A downloadable wedding checklist (this will be really helpful for when you’re doing last-minute details and want to make sure you don’t forget anything)
- A list of vendors with contact information (for example, the photographer’s website)
- Updates on the wedding day (e.g., the venue, dress, tuxedo)
- A link to the wedding website (so your guests can come back later and see all the details)
If you don’t yet have a wedding website, then now is a great time to start creating one. Once you do, you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner!
How Do I Make My Wedding Website Stand Out?
One way of making your wedding website stand out is to add a bit of color. If you’re using a regular text-based blog post, then you could add a few visual elements such as a wedding graphic (logo, banner, etc.) or a button that links back to the blog.
Another way is to write a catchy blog post title. For example, perhaps you could write a blog post called “The Most Memorable Moments At My Wedding“. When someone clicks on that title, they’ll be directed to your blog post with the interesting content inside.
Or if you have something truly memorable, then you could write a blog post called “The Reason Why I Chose To Wed In Malta“. That would be a fantastic blog post to have on your website as it would make an interesting addition to your content.
The bottom line is that you want to make sure that your wedding website contains information that is both useful and interesting to your ideal audience. If you can do that, then you’ll be able to create a memorable experience for everybody involved.
