But how can you do that and still embrace the flexible working lifestyle?

Instead of seeing your desk at the office as the epitome of your working day, consider the fact that you could be working remotely and enjoying your time off. Find your motivation

When you’re feeling restless, you might consider the fact that you could work remotely and do something productive to relieve your boredom. Embrace your individuality

When you start comparing yourself to your peers in terms of your job title, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment. You shouldn’t do this. Your job title doesn’t define you; your accomplishments do. When you start comparing yourself to others, you’re lowering your self-esteem. That’s a dangerous game. Unless you feel that you’re better than everyone else, you’ll never be able to succeed.

Have a support system

In order to successfully embrace the flexible working lifestyle, you need to have a support system in place. This could be other employees, a mentor, or even a coach. When you have a sounding board, you can bounce ideas off of each other and get feedback. If you’re ever feeling frustrated or discouraged, it’s easy to push aside your challenges and focus on the positive. When you have someone to turn to for advice or even just to listen, you’ll realize that having a desk job isn’t necessary. You have someone who cares about you and wants to see you succeed.
