How to Get the Author Meta Website for Your Articles on WordPress

Do you have an author website and would like to have articles from your blog integrated into it? You can use the authority author platform to accomplish this. This article will walk you through the procedure to get started with creating your own branded author website using the authority author platform. Let’s get started.

Set Up Your Blog

Before you begin the author platform procedure, you must have a blog set up on WordPress.

If you’re new to blogging, I would recommend starting with Squarespace.com. It is easy to use and has an excellent team of support available 24/7. Don’t worry about knowing code; the platform builds it for you. Your first blog can be set up in less than 10 minutes and you’ll be able to start posting content immediately.

Sign Up for a Premium Account On WordPress.com

Once you have your blog set up, you will need to sign up for a premium account on WordPress.com. This will give you access to more features, as well as remove some of the limitations that come with the free account. If you have a limited budget, you can always opt for the premium account, which costs $5 per month. You can learn more about the differences between the two accounts here.

WordPress.com is a free blogging platform, which is why it is so popular. However, if you want to take advantage of all the features it has to offer, you will need to upgrade to a premium account. You will not be able to use the platform if you do not have a premium account.

Install the WordPress.com Plugin On Your Blog

Once you have your blogging platform set up, you will need to install the WordPress.com plugin on it. This is a very basic plugin and adds a couple of features to your blog that you can use to enhance your content.

To install the WordPress.com plugin, visit the WordPress.com website and click on the Get Started button. It will then walk you through the process of installing the plugin on your blog. When you are done, click on the Save Changes button at the end.

Use Your New Blog To Set Up Your Author Meta-Website

Once your WordPress blog is set up, you can begin the process of integrating your articles into your author website. To do this, head over to your profiles page on WordPress, which can be accessed by clicking on your username in the top right corner of the screen. From here, you can click on the Build Your Platform button to begin setting up your author website.

This button will take you to a page where you can choose a domain for your author website and set up the basic structure of your site. You can choose.com,.net, or.org as the base URL of your site. If you are using WordPress.com, you can also choose to have your site hosted by the platform or your own server. You will need to have a stable and trusted Web host for this.

Use your favorite search engine to search for the best possible deal on a hosting package that suits your needs. Once you have found a suitable host, be sure to install the WordPress plugin on it. This will make it easier to set up your blog the next time you decide to do so. For the sake of this tutorial, we will use Bluehost as our web host.

You can choose to use their shared hosting plan if you are looking for a free option or their premium hosting plan if you want to take advantage of all their features.

Install the WordPress Blogging Platform On Your Server

If you have decided to host your author website on your own server, you will need to install WordPress on it. For this tutorial, we will use the WPMU Pro plugin to install WordPress on our server. You can download this plugin directly from the WordPress website. Once installed, visit your blog’s dashboard and click on the Plugins tab. From here, you can activate the WPMU Pro plugin.

When activated, the WPMU Pro plugin will download more plugins from the WordPress repository, which you can use to customize your site and make it more user-friendly. You can use buttons, menus, and other interface elements to make changes to the look of your site. Additionally, you can use the plugins to set up functionality, such as a contact form, shopping cart, or online booking system.

Once you have WPMU Pro activated, you can go back to your blog’s dashboard and click on the Build Your Platform button. This will take you to a page where you can choose a domain for your author website and set up the basic structure of your site.

Again, you can choose.com,.net, or.org as the base URL of your site. If you have decided to use WordPress.com, you can also choose to have your site hosted by the platform or your own server. You will need to have a stable and trusted Web host for this.

Create Your Author Bio

An author bio is an important part of any author website. It gives the reader more information about you, the author, and your work. In the case of this tutorial, we will use the About tab of our blog to create our author bio. To begin, visit your blog’s dashboard and click on the About tab. A section will then appear at the top of the page, where you can create your bio. Use this space to write a concise summary of your work, including your latest publications. Additionally, you can add a link to your website or social media accounts.

This is where we will add more content in the form of biographies for our industry leaders. These profiles will function as the cornerstone for our industry directory, which we will build later on in this tutorial.

Create Your Author Portfolio

An author portfolio is a collection of your published works that you can showcase on your author website. To create one, navigate to your blog’s dashboard and click on the Portfolio item located under the About tab. Once you are on the Portfolio page, you can choose to display your work either in a gallery or a grid. We will go with a grid, as it provides us with a dedicated space for each work, while maintaining the integrity of the content.

To add a work to our portfolio, navigate to your blog’s dashboard and click on the Add New item button. From here, you can add a new work or select an existing one from your blog. To add a piece of content to your blog and have it live on your author website, navigate to your blogs dashboard and click on the Publish button. This will take you to a new post page where you can write a new piece or use the existing one. From here, simply click on the Update button to have it live on your site.

Customize Your Site’s Header And Footer

The header and footer of your site are its most important parts. They set the tone for your site and define your brand. In the case of this tutorial, we will use the elements of color, type, and layout to give our site a unique identity. To begin, head over to the headers and footers section of your blog’s dashboard. Here, you can add more content to the headers and footers of your site. To add a new element, simply click on the Add Media button.

This will open up a new media page, where you can upload an image or video that will serve as your site’s header or footer. Make sure to drag the images into the center so that they take up the entire width of the page.

Add Social Media Buttons To Your Site

The header and footer are not the only parts of your site that can be customized. You can add content to the Sidebar of your site, which will appear on the right side of the browser. For our site, we will use the Instagram icon, a social media icon, and a link to our website.

To add these elements to your site, click on the Add Media button on the page for your blog’s header or footer. This will take you to a new media page, where you can upload an image for your site’s header or footer. Make sure to drag the images into the center so that they take up the entire width of the page.

Once you have your new media page set up, you can begin adding your desired elements to it. To add the Instagram icon, click on the gear icon next to the Add Media button and select Instagram from the drop-down menu. This will then bring you to your Instagram account’s settings page, where you can add your website as a link.
